Don't repeat DON'T inflate the tire once the sealant is in above 90 psi unless you want the tire to explode off the rim coating your entire workshop/kitchen with sealant! 😳

I did that with an XR4 on a Bonty rim, hearing went funny for a few hours and the garage looked like an elephant had spunked all over it

So a key advantage of tubeless tires is lower pressures so what pressure would the OP use with tubes?

i'm not sure what you were expecting to happen tbh. the stans crest rims i use on my cx bike have a recommended limit of 55psi with 1.25" wide tyres when run tubeless...

If it is the Iron Cross rim... did you not see the max 45psi warning ? Silly question 😀 No less helpful than some of the other comments here though. In all seriousness though, is the max psi rating not printed on the rim? Max PSI on the Alpha rims run tubeless is also low at around 50psi non? With tubes the Alpha rims can be run at the tyre's max recommended pressure I believe...

CX racing today. Blew a Bonty off an Ironcross rim, bout 35-40psi. Didn't half scare some spectators!

if you're racing and running tubeless why do you have 35-40 psi in there?

This is why it's better to put the sealant in via the valve (with the core removed), as you can leave the tyres seated then just put 25-30 psi in after you've replaced the valve core,

Yep done that too, had a Bonty tyre that wouldn't seat properly so left it at 60psi sitting in the sun whilst I worked on the bike. About 20 minutes or so later BOOOOOOM! Tyre exploded and wheel jumped into the air with such force the freehub popped out and our Staffie nearly shit himself!
