Who's land are you using and who much are you charged?

One local authority charged £260+VAT for footpath closures.

The adjacent authority wanted £1200+VAT for the same.

United Utilities and various other private land owners were free as long as the paperwork was in order.

I'd be interested to know how much Brownbacks / ST are charged by Lancashire County Council (Don't worry, I'm not trying to move in on your patch or use the info to haggle with LCC!).

My 'cross race is £38 I think for use of the park (there are no public paths across it though, so nothing's officially had to be shut for the day) - but they did want a H&S walk-through of the course, BC insurance and all that stuff...

Ta.

I bet Pat is turning over a few quid though!

Anyone out there using the Forestry Commission?

Running events tend to be free (or a donation to landowner's specified charity) but then we have fewer rights of way issues for racing, just need a field for start/finish/carpark/etc.

Chipps, is TOD CX about 2 miles for 100-200 punters?
