Am just venting. Have now had two punctures in the same week, on different bikes. First on the singlespeed commuter on the way into work, luckily I was near the end. Second last night out on the road bike, luckily it was a nice (weather-wise) evening.
Do these things always come in three's, like my wee mammy says?
Are there any sacrifices or voodoo chants I can do to get it to bugger off?
Should I just accept it (dis)likes me until it finds someone else to haunt?

Tubeless and carry your spares.

I've been going through one of these phases of late:
New road bike, unridden, had a flat before it'd even left the house.
Weekend in Exmoor recently, MTB ride on the Friday, flatted early on and later suffered a spectacular mystery rear tyre explosion and ripped sidewall. Next day road ride, topped tyres up before starting and 10 mins later discovered front flat when we went to leave the campsite. Traced to rimtape having moved and exposed spoke holes. Tube patched and flatted again less than 5 mins later.
3 days after this, took other mtb out of van at local wood to discover huge bulge in rear tyre that hadn't been there that morning. Hire shop to the rescue with a nearly-new Nobby Nic which saved my ride. Next ride 2 days later the sidewall split at the bead.
Then I had a rear tyre go flat WHILST ON THE TURBO TRAINER, FFS!
I'm beginning to get paranoid.

I had a flat about five or six years ago. Never ripped a tyre, despite running them bald to the threads and knobs tearing off.
New minions on last week. First ride in Chamonix tomorrow. Probably blow 'em both.

Whatevs. I had 3 punctures TODAY on the SAME BIKE.
Rode Laggan Wolftrax, one rear puncture on the end of the black, then another rear on the lower red, fixed that, then another on the front 2 minutes later.
You don't know what a puncture fairy is man... 😦
