Why does anyone watch the TDF at all?

Its highly trained and fit cyclists doing something we failed to achieve when younger, and have little chance now.

There is usually a big button on the tv marked off, and a lot of butons on the remote control to press randomly until you find something you wish to watch.

I can't see the excitement in watching a load of drug fuelled riders....Yes the scenery is nice but that's the only highlight

The sprints and the climbs are fun, but I guess you need the rest of the race so you can have sprints and climbs.

I find the TDF to be quite like F1 actually, now you come to mention it..

Both are technically very impressive, have moments of excitement, but are generally dull and overcomplicated.

Take it you have never raced cars or bikes?

You have to attempt things to understand them. Try cycling up the tourmalet, then watch Contador and Shleck do it in half your time. And after 200km of riding at some stupid speed that you couldn't even do if you were going downhill.

You can say it about all sports. Boxing is just two men trying to hit each other in the face. Much more impressive when you realise what they're going through.

Fail to see what thats got to do with me finding both the TDF and F1 racing boring?

I'm a fan of other motorsport, and other kinds of bike racing, but I've never done them either.
