Walking to work this morning I saw a mum and a really young girl on their bikes.
Girl was no older than 3 , wearing waterproof trousrs, pink wellies, pink helmet and riding without stabilisers which surprised me.
I was walking fast so able to keep up with them. When the track sloped down the little girl would pedal as fast as she could and loving the speed.
When it sloped back up , mum just put her hand on back and assisted her up the hill.
There was no "I can't ride up that hill "tantrums she just got stuck in.
I don't know where they were going but even though it was raining the little girl was having the time of her life.
In most families that little girl would be strapped into a car seat and seeing nothing but the back of the seat in front.
Mum , whoever you are , you are doing a fantastic job.
Indeed. Bravo.
Like.
Seen a similar thing last week out walking along some forest roads. Mum and little boy on holiday out on a couple of hire bikes, seen the little fella coming down a slight descent behind his mum with the biggest grin I've ever seen shouting 'Yes!!! This is so fast!'. Straight up the climb at the other end asking if there would be any more fast bits like that. Put a smile on my face and I had a flashback to being a kid myself on the very same tracks.
Still no like button.
great to see li’l ones have a blast
there’s a clip on the Instagram feed bikedads of two little boys trying to carry their bikes over a log. Love that clip.
