I have a Cotic Hemlock which is a bit of a bugger for chainsuck on my triple chainset. Rings and chain are new, but unless my gear change is squeaky clean, it snags up.
A double chainset is going to give me a bit more clearance due to chainline, I suspect, but will it be enough to make a difference? Is the extra clearance offset by the fact the inner ring is bigger? Does the bigger inner ring help avoid chainsuck?
Cheers for any input.
Any assistance from the evening crowd? The 2x10 chainset is on the way anyway....
I was able to space my 2x chainset out to improve the chainline. Can't comment on the chain suck as I didn't suffer from it...
I think on my double SLX cranks the inner is 24T which only 2 more than the granny on the triple I took off so I can't imagine it would make a huge difference. That said I never had chain suck with either of them so none of what I've said actually helps.
HTH 😀
