Ok, so i was lucky enough to be born with a large Head! Last time i measured it was a 63cm....

I currently have a Specialized which is a Large 56-63 and its tight as it is.

I was after a newer enduro style lid, has anyone else come across this problem and or have any recommendations?

All help greatly appreciated.

As a fellow melon-head I was pleasantly surprised by how well the Bell Super fitted me. I'm getting one of those when my current one packs in

Fox Flux large/xlarge seems to be a good lid with quite a bit of adjustment

I have the same melon head issues(63cm).

Got a giro feature cheap and fits well. Also the hex fitted fine but preferred the look of the feature though.

Still haven't found a comfy FF though...

One Planet Adventure (Coed Llandegla) had big reductions on POC the other day. Only sizes I saw where peanut or melon 😉

I, too, have a rather large bonce (See my login name)
I find the Giro Feature to be more than adequate - and it provides very good coverage at the back.
I would, of course, recommend that you find a stockist to try one for size.

63cm noggin here and large Giro helmets fit well, as do large specialized and xl troy Lee helmets.

I think my specialized large helmet is 59-63cm, not 56-63cm, so if there are differing sizes in specialized, I'd have a look into one that fits the larger head size (narrower range) a bit better

I found after my Giro E2 blew away in the wind off skiddaw, that a specialized Tactic mk1, which sits much lower and better on my forehead. The Giro sat far too high

Got a Uvex, best lid I've had. Adjusts in just about every way.

I think Giro do a Hex XL?

I also have a huge heed.

I have a Bell Super for the rough stuff & a Specialized S3 for tarmac dutues, both have a smidgen off room.

Bell Stoker goes up to XL (up to 65cm)

Not tried one but I too have a 63cm bonce and it's on my list of replacements.

Specialized Max and a Giro equivalent are made for big bonces.

Not to hijack but while all my fellow "cranialy endowed" gentlemen are here, any recommendations for a full face?

Had a fox rampage XL, was too small front to back and on the cheek bones. Tried on a Giro remedy which is supposed to come up big and didn't feel much better.

Massive bonse owa here too.. 63cm at last measurement. 2 current lids:

Giro Hex L
TLD D2 XL/XXL

Both fit like a glove. Took a hell of a lot of trying on and sending back ones that didnt fit mind!

I'm 62-63cm too

Currently have a giro hex, I fancy one of those Bell supers

I like the look of the poc buy can't justify the price

I was in need of a bucket last year after writing mine off. Had a bell, wanted the super but it was just before they came out. Tried the fox, ok, tried the poc, not a chance, tried a Kali, nope, met, nope, mavic, maybe but then found a specialized at Evans and it's just lovely to wear.

My Hex fits well as did the bell before it so I'd look at Giro and Bell.

Thanks for all the feedback people...

I know the best solution is to try them on.

Try and find a LBS with the Bell's in stock.

62 cm here and a L Giro Feature fits with room to spare. Can also fit into a M Feature depending on haircut

The clear point here is: go to a bike shop and try some large helmets. Giro work well for me as do Specialized although I am around 62cm.

Ive just got a Bell Stoker - Large and its awesome. Im about 60cm and its wound in on the tighest setting so a large or XL will fit. Really nice helmet, I see it like an updated giro feature - better ventilation.

Failing that you could try a Bluegrass golden Eye, but I sent it back as it was huge!

The new on-one helmet fits my melon, maybe not the best quality adjuster at the back but it works and its comfortable.

@gofasterstripes

I am so disappointed with this thread...

It took you until the 30th post to make that point? - maybe you should change your login to 'goslowerstripes' 😉
