Firstly I was wrong. Wrong about wagon wheels. Wrong about carbon fibre. Wrong about buying a trek, or any other mass produced bike brand.
Last one first. Have been amazed at the detail and thought that's gone into a trek which I now have the good fortune to own. Brilliant level of thought.
Middle one next, i didn't break it, if carbon fibre bars and frame survive sixteen and a half stone doing the dyfi intact then I think it's pretty good. From an engineering point of view I knew it should but from a Yorkshire, it's key cloth and glue point of view I was sceptical.
Big intake of breath. Wagon wheels are great I'm completely sold on them. The only negative is they have that little more inertia that 26's but otherwise I'm completely sold on them. I have been on here arguing the toss before about not needing different wheels sizes. I apologise, I was wrong!

Off in the distance, a kitten weeps mournfully and dons the blindfold.

Not bike related, but I've recently found out that I've been wrong about olives for the last 32 years.

I'm wrong from time to time but it achieves nothing to admit it, certainly not to Junkyard.

I too have been amazed at the level of detail on my Fuel EX7, loads of little touches that make it nice to own. Basics like a sealed cartridge headset, decent seals for the internal cabling and proper bearings for all the pivots.

Never had a problem with carbon on bikes, as long as it's well designed and manufactured.

29ers I'm not sold on, mainly because I can't find one I fit let alone like. But then I'm short with short legs and arms so I'm happy to have 650B!!
