Hey I've just bought a tidy pair of 98 RS Judy XL forks, it seems they have had a 1" steerer tube pressed into them ( which the seller did not tell me about) and basically they're no use because my retro build is 1"1/8. Now I was wondering if there are any compainies that make replacement 1"1/8 steerer tube that could fit, will a marzocchi one fit as I see crc sell them? please help.

You should be able to shim down your head tube, or sell the forks.
Yes 1" was a standard for years, and years!!
Wheels Manufacturing make 1 1/8" to 1" head tube reducers, they're not expensive and any Madison dealer should be able to get them in for you.
Hey, thanks for the replys. ZigZag I'm on retrobike and no one has replied to my thread, thanks for the other replys too. As I said I always remember these forks and the xlc's to all be in 1" 1/8. I've measured the holes in the crowns and they measure 1"1/8 and the steerer is quite thick that also measure 1"1/8 accross with the inner hole being 1". Hope you all understand my ramblings! haha
