I am looking at going to Scotland for the 7Stanes next year and was looking for self catering (there will be 6 of us) accommodation.

Anyone recommend anywhere?

Steilston Schoolhouse near Dumfries is always our pick.

It's not officially live yet, but if you promise not to tell anyone until Monday...

Ae Barn is right across the road from Ae (oddly enough!), and is GORGEOUS!!

http://www.aebarn.co.uk/home/

Properly nicely done out, brand spanking new and within 20mins-1hrs drive to pretty much all of the other Stanes + Drumlanrig.

It's where I'd be going, if I didn't live 10 mins away...

Enjoy!

I know the owner, nice guy 😆

Yup, I know the owners of both. They are bikers and can help you with whatever you need 😆

As James ^^^^ says basing yourself in the Dumfries area which has 3 Stanes + the 8th, Drum you ate only 1hr from Kirroughtree and just over the hour from Glentress and Inners.
On the way up/down the Lakes are also an option, Whinlatter and the Borrowdale Bash from Keswick are only a few miles off the M6 💡

I'd meant to reply sooner, but the proper website for Ae Barn is live - it's literally across the road from the trails at Ae and is a properly lovely place.

Gratuitous linky:
