Following the "losing the chamois" thread, I came across 7mesh foundation boxers. They look a good midway option. I find fully padded liners very hot a sweaty in summer. Anyone tried these ? they get very good reviews but are pricey (£50) for what they are. How's the sizing, I'm normally a 30/31inch waist, would you recommend small/medium size?
I have a couple of pairs, paid £50 for a pair in a sale last year. Not sure they are worth £50 each.
very minimalist pad, reasonably effective but barely there feel. I wear them in the summer when bibs can be too hot. Sizing on 7mesh is normally bang on the sizing charts in my experience. Quality is superb. I’d rather buy less, but good kit so I rarely buy anything else these days.
Try without first. You never know, you might not need padding at all with the right saddle. I certainly don't.
Save yourself £50 potentially.
Bioracer do something similar but less pricey

I just ordered some "ALTURA Tempo Undershorts", they look identical and were £18 on Sportpursuit. Should be good for the coming warmer days.
I have some, they are OK - wouldn't pay £50 for them (I'm sure I got them from Sport Pursuit for half that). I'd say go for a small
Might try these next.
Pearl Izumi has similar product but they seem work only on easier rides for me. In any high effort riding they don’t stay put and contents need to be adjusted often.
Gore Bikewear C3 and C5 inner shorts are great but they have quite thick chamois.
I’ve got 2 pairs bought in a sale. Not worth £50 but are nice & minimal.
7mesh ones are decent, I have lots of them, but don't buy them at £50, they can be had for almost half that or sometimes less during sales - I think "extra 20% off sale items" finished at the weekend , but still:

I have a load of these from when they were even cheaper on CRC.
They are great. Thin-ish pad, but not particularly minimal. They look like hotpants so might attract some interest in the car park.
