Four punctures in four weeks. 😣

I ride back lanes on my Arkose. Any recommendations for a pair of tubeless tyres 35c ish? I currently favour a file tyre tread.

Ideally under £50 for the pair, what's out there?

Really budget is to put some sealant gunk inside your inner tubes (assuming you have them)

I put Schwalbe gunk into mine and I haven't had any punctures over a summer /autumn of riding bradlepaths.I have found thorns in my tyres, and evidence of gunk inside the tyre when I changed them recently.

You may have to get new inner tubes with removable valve cores.

Hope that helps.

These are meant to be good, but out of stock:

I've got Gravelking slicks and they are ace as well, but probably £60 a pair. The 38mm one's merlin have are good tubeless.

I've got some Terrene Ellwood in the classifieds for £25 the pair, or a single Maxxis Rambler for £15, but they are 40mm and 38mm respectively so perhaps bigger than you want

Ah, I thought I'd posted them in the classifieds on here but can't see them...

They are still on retrobike

I'd be happy to do them for £10 each at this point as long as I didn't have to cover postage too, so £34 posted for all three would do it.

Sorry breadcrum -- I didn't intend to hijack so much!

Thanks for the replies and the offer of the tyres, they might be a touch wide for my guards. 38mm would probably go with a little fettling though.

Budget?

Just ghetto existing tyres...

https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/commuter-roadie-ghetto-tubeless/

I'm 5 months down that road now. Managed to convert sucesfully both rear and front.

I know about one time it worked 100%. On one commuting had a feeling of slightly more supple ride. After arriving to work realized drop in pressure in rear tyre and some small droplets of selant on stays. Pumped it up back to my normal usable PSI - about 40-45 - and never looked back since 🙂

Cheers!

I.
