No experience of the helmet but the knee pads are very good.

Think I might just order one , they seem like great value for the price.

Sorry to bump an old thread but wondering if anyone now has one of these? Looking for a new sub £50 helmet and I have a £50 CRC voucher so has to be from there.

This seems like a quiet thread, so I will offer my slightly unrelated insight.

I have one of the M2 helmets, and it is excellent. I like the way it looks, but more importantly, it fits well and feels robust enough to do its job at the same time.

Anyway, I know you're talking about the M5, but seeing as no one else is offering anything, I will at least attest to the quality of what I have in the expectation that it will apply across.

Thanks SaxonRider. Doesn't seem to be much else at that price point on CRC that looks half decent. May take the gamble then.

Nicely ventilated, comfy, looks decent too.

I got one recently but decided to return it. I found it really uncomfortable to wear, there was a plastic lump inside on top and the rest of the padding seemed quite thin.

My previous lid was a Bell Stoker for reference.

I have an M5 and have gradually grown to like it. It took a while for me to learn how to wear it comfortably. It doesn't fit my head as well as my old helmet (Giro hex) but that fitted my head perfectly.

I was tightening the adjuster too tight and it dug into the back of my head. I loosened it a bit and I've been happy with it since. I do find it a lot warmer than the Hex but I've been riding in the recent hot weather and it's no big issue.

Am I happy with it? Yes.

Would I but another helmet online without trying it on? No.
