Hello all,
Im probably over-thinking this, but where do you get spanners thin enough to service shimano pedal axles? Is there a spanner du jour for these jobs?

Just fill them with fresh grease and putting the axle back into the body purges the old grease out, hence no need to use the spanners at all. Even if the axles are a tiny bit wobbly, packing with grease removes the play.
Worked fore the past 25 years on a number of Shimano pedals 🙂

i have done this in the past but the play keeps coming back, the nuts keeping n working themselves very loose, or doing the opposite and they bind.
