Have searched for reviews on the 661 Recon as I'm considering one and found a couple of peeps saying they come up a bit large. I've got a small head at 56cm and although the S/M is listed as fitting 55-58cm I wanted some confirmation from any likewise small-noggined riders that it will still fit properly and not look daft if your head size is at the lower end of the scale.
Hi I have a 661 recon repeater s/m I am about the same size as you I hate helmets that look massive and I can confirm that the 661 fits good for me and feels light too and its not too hot on long rides really pleased with mine
My S/M Giro is not sized the same as the 661. I bought the s/m and had to swop it for the m/l size. I am borderline on the Giro.
