Have the dual compound trail extremes on my 29er and get on well with them. Not the lightest though so any other suggestions for similar grip but less weight?

Have a chunky on the front and smorg on the back of my transition. Have pushed the tyres really hard and they've never let me down.

Also the price is hard to ignore.

To be honest in my opinion any other tyre will only really feel at best an expensive experiment.

Can recommend a wtb warden for a mud tyre though

I'm a bit of a Beaver fan when it comes to riding in the muck. Have the 2.0's for my 29er but would go for the 2.2 next. Light and fast rolling too.

Chunky is tempting too but it must feel like a lead weight on the front?

Looked at Hans Dampfs bt the weight seems similar and reports of ripping knobs off.

Chunky on the front doesn't feel bad at all, was comparable to my old high roller.

We did redesign the shoulder outer edge on the 650b smorg to just make it a little less round on more Chunky Monkey esque

Some good deals on wtb tyres on CRC

I'm trying a trail boss rear.
