Can anyone suggest a 650b rim that will take a 30-32c tyre? The user ideally wants carbon, but not Chinese ali-express and not too crazy expensive. Hubs will almost certainly be DT Swiss 350 with 28 holes. All I've found so far is a Light Bicycle AR36 or a DT Swiss GR531 (alloy).
I've gone through every gravel option I can think of but I can only find ones for wider tyres. Any suggestions gratefully received.
WTB? CZR i23 - but ETRTO chart suggests 23mm ID is for 37mm plus. Guessing this is for a small road bike? I'd be tempted to go for light Al to get the right spec unless they're after light deep section rims .. they'll be a challenge to find tho.
Easton arc offset 25 is borderline that size.
This has 24mm inner width https://pacenticycledesign.co.uk/collections/carbon-rims-road/products/forza-c-30mm-wide-rim-black-disc-clincher-650b-asymmetric
DT XR331. It's billed as an XC rim, alloy not carbon but lightweight (350g ish). There are still some available (biketart have 27.5 28H for £40 ea). I've a set of 32h 27.5 ones sitting around and use the 29" version on my CX bike.
Wow Pacenti shot up in price! (That's an increase of quite a pacenti! 🤣).
I hadn't thought about XC wheels, I'll have a closer look. And yes this is for a 2XS Canyon Endurace. Which is a total PITA to get tyres, tubes and wheels for!
We use Light Bicycle WRxx for all tyres 28mm and upwards. Excellent rims for the money.
