Will they go? Thinking those new WTB Scraper rims with 2.8" Trailblazer tyres will be interesting, but I can only just squeeze a 2.3" Vigilante in there.

I suspect you've answered your own question there, regardless of rim diameter.

Depends how much bend there is in the stays, 650b+ should fit in a lot of 29er frames as the diameters 0.5" less, so the stays are often widened a bit by that point as it probbaly brings the tyre back behind the chainset rather than having to package wheel, stays and chainrings into the same space.

Problem is the rims/tyres are an expensive investment if they don't fit, so I doubt theres many people with them to try!

Yes, that's what I was thinking. Might just have to rely on the trusty vernier and guesstimate it.

Gonna try one in the rear of my swift when there's more choice of rim/tire. 29+ front B+ rear it's a whole new niche!

Sadly, 2.4" is looking like the maximum. Still, might just try sticking one on the front, as long as that won't steepen the head angle.

Dunno about the inbred but the clearance on the back of my 45650b is woeful. A 2.3 Vigilante rubs the chainstays. It's almost as though they just used a normal 456 back end which had massive clearance for 26" wheels 😡
