Interesting to see three plus-ish threads on the front page today. I've been messing about with 650s on my 29er Enduro after reading this "Specialized Enduro 29 – Six Ways – Three wheel Sizes" in Dirt mag. 3" is too much in the frame so 2.8' Rocket Rons.

I've a mind to take the wheels (and the bike) to Chamonix in a couple of weeks but not sure they will be sufficiently cut resistant. The new Spesh grid plussers (2.8 Butcher, 2.6 Slaughter) aren't like to be out in time. There aren't many other choices. What's worth a look at?

Are the RR's man enough?
Maybe the new Maxxis WT DHF and Shorty Ben writes about here.
Something else?
