So, MCJnr was sent off to a Scout jamboree this morning. MrsMC and LittleMissMC are being dropped off at the airport at silly o'clock tomorrow to go to a Guide jamboree, so I have 6 days home alone.

My plan so far is

Sunday - all day road ride
Monday - assessing routes with the council's bike man for Cycle to Health scheme
Tuesday - morning, volunteering at Hicks Lodge trail centre. Afternoon, riding there.
Wednesday - morning, checking out one of the council's rides, evening, club midweek road ride
Thursday - taking my aged parents out for the day
Friday - café ride with a mate for lunch
Saturday - road ride before they all start coming home.

Assuming any gaps are to be filled with beer, takeaways and films, have I missed anything?

😆

3am alarm to drop them at the airport has taken the gloss off the whole thing!

I'm in a similar situation. Here's my itinerary...

Sat...take wallpaper for redecorating boys room up to landing then go and play golf competition all day - complete
Sun...go to work then come home and watch TV instead of stripping old wallpaper from boys room
Mon...get two new tyres on car then move furniture in boys room away from walls then decide that's enough for one day and go to work
Tue...go to work then come home and realise I have forgotten paint for ceiling so can't continue decorating
Wed...heed wife's professional advice about exercise and weight loss and go for long health boosting walk. Around golf course. Buy paint. Apply first coat of paint to boys bedroom ceiling. Perhaps strip some wallpaper.
Thur...short day at work, go biking, go to pub
Fri...try and wallpaper boys room before lunch when wife and boys are due home. Prepare excuses.

The 3am alarm call is now taking it's toll 😐

But I did get an 86 mile ride in today - my longest of the year so far - and my folks invited me round for tea, mainly so they could warn me not to spend so much time riding my bike. 🙄
