So my new frame coming (Slash) is 55mm chainline
Trying to understand if my current X01 cranks are going to fit.
presume these are standard 52mm (coming off Vitus Sommet)
I will run a 30T so gives more clearance.
55mm seems a rare breed??!!
55mm is achievable with raceface 30mm cranks using a different length spindle. There is a tech document on their site with the details linked from the crank models.
My understanding is that you just need a zero offset chainring. Your current chainring will be 3mm giving you a 52mm chainline. Therefore zero 0mm will give you 55mm.
ah yes - this makes sense, and hopefully don't need to order a new crank - cheers
I don't know about that particular bike, but as Davros says you can get different offset chainrings if you have a direct mount SRAM crankset.
I know Superstar do 0mm, 3mm or 6mm offset rings for SRAM - and one of those is likely to be correct. They have a 20% off deal at the mo as well.
yep just looking -
wolftooth and superstar. nice
Just be careful with crank clearance on the chain stay. Does it need a 55mm chainline because the back end is wide.
Some direct mount rings you can also flip the ring over two get a wider chainline.

I've found the Superstar ones last really well, FWIW.
hmm good point - that is an important question nixie....
I suppose until I offer them will be hard to know
Seen these as a backup...
looking on the spec of the complete slash it comes with a
Size: M, M/L, L, XL
SRAM GX Eagle, DUB MTB Wide, 30T, Boost (55 mm chainline), 175 length
so as you say, maybe need it to clear the back end....

Interesting as here Absolute Black say a superboost crank with a 0 offset ring is 55mm chainline!??
