You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've been offered a "good" price on a pair of carbon rimed wheels, with an internal width of 50mm.
Currently running the 40mm Fatlab rims that came with the bike, with 3" Nobby Nics,
The 50mm ones are still a serious investment, so I don't want to make a huge mistake. Used for map crossing duties as well as natural Lakes/Peaks stuff.
Perfect size.
Well I just decided on 36mm internal width rims for 2.8 tyres on the basis that 42 (next size up Nextie do) would be a bit wide. My research indicates that 35-45mm is the range for 2.8-3.0 tyres.
Turns out they're 45mm internal, so all good!

Had 2.75” DWs on 50mm RH rims once as meant to be as standard. Worked well.
