Anyone got both? How does the trailcross gtx sizing compare to the freerider (bog standard freerider, not the pro)
...winter is coming 'n' all that so considering something less leaky

About the same i’d say, boot version with cuff is fun for a few times getting foot in,

@chriscubed - I've literally just binned my ageing and very tired Freeriders last week and bought some Trailcross GTX to replace them -
The sizing was a little different - I've gone a full size up - the Trailcross are a slightly narrower fit and the liner makes them quite a close fit anyway - a size up and they are perfect for teaming up with my winter socks & def not baggy without
Key think I've found is that the Trailcross have a much stiffer and even gripper sole - I've found them great on the first few rides - definitely recommend them!
Mine were on offer at my LBS: 1250 Bikes in Frodsham, Cheshire - cheaper than anywhere else I could find them (£69) and I was able to try them on and compare sizes beforehand which is always a bonus
It is not the sizing (length of the foot) but quite different last (shape) from Freerider Pros.
I bought some FR Pros a few weeks ago and found their sizing spot on. Their size guide is the problem and has a completely different measurement to what is printed inside the actual shoe. I went with my normal shoe size and was fine.
