Has anyone got these and are they are big improvement over the previous re waterproofing and drying times?

I've recently got a pair. Can't compare them to the old ones, but they're not waterproof, and mine took 3 days to dry out last week - stuffed with newspaper (changed several times) and left out in the sun on day 3.
They are more waterproof than the old style, they were like sponges!
I've had some of the 'old' style, Sam Hill Impacts which have been great. Just bought a new pair of the new VXIs yesterday, but have not yet worn them.

Much stickier and much faster drying. Only issue so far is that if you're riding when it's really wet there aren't any drain holes. Whatever sloshes in at the top stays in the shoe till you empty it out. Still, they dry a lot faster than the old ones.
Great in the dry, and much stickier soles than my old Freeriders and worn-out Impacts.
