After breaking my big toe yesterday ive decided to look into getting some 5 10 impacts (low version i think). Do they have more toe protection than the Freeriders? Or is it more ankle protection they offer?

Definitely more toe protection, with the old Impact Enough to save your toe in this case? Who knows.

As an Impact wearer who often whacks his toes into rocks, I'd say probably.

Only downside to impacts (imo) is their fondness for retaining water.

It was a fair old whack! Made a right mess. My Freeriders seem to hold water for a long time too so not too fussed about that really. Theres some cheapish new impacts on ebay so ill give em a go. Hopefully i wont be off the bike for too long!
