Specifically looking for a 45mm stem. Have been riding a 40mm for months on my FS, have recently tried 50mm on it. Have decided 45mm would be ideal... So...

Who does a nice stem in 45mm? Looking for 31.8mm bar clamp please...

Its hard to get excited by a stem, but I've got ns bikes quantum 45 stems on 2 bikes, and they just seem to have a nicer finish than others!

Race Face do a cheap 45mm with 10 degree rise, Respond I think. Heavy though, but that's probably not too big an issue.

Funn Funnduro as above. Brilliant. Holds your bars lovely. Cheap. Light.
Looks lush. It even has a gap in the top so that you can look at your tyre through it.....or something.

Ritchey?

35mm version here on sale, there's also a 31.8. I got stem and bars for £70.

We are using the El Guapo and the Funnduro on our S works Enduros and Stumpjumpers. The El Guapo looks better and is lighter.

Many thanks for the responses guys.

Does look nice!

Yeah I know about this one. The 10deg rise is a non starter as I need a low front end, and I'd rather spend more money on something a bit lighter and nicer looking too.

Seems to fit the criteria indeed, just looks a little "industrial" for my tastes. Still, it's not too expensive.

Ritchey?

Yeah knew about the Ritchey too. Never been overly impressed with Ritchey stems, finding them a little flexy normally. Also would prefer something CNCed.

El Guapo looks ok, just can't get over the logo and the link to its parent company! Hey ho... Suppose there's always Permanent marker pen!
