I'm driving down to the Trans-Provence area (Mercantour) but can squeeze in 4 days doing uplift stuff on the way.
Did Alp d-Huez last year on the mega, so I know that a bit, and it's en route so not a big detour.
needs:
- decent lift access
- reasonably easy-access trails, as we're unguided
I've done Morzine, Les Ges, St Gervais, d'Huez so looking for new ideas.
Could be 4 days in one place or 2 x 2 days.
This is early August (4-7th).
If you stay in Bourg st Maurice you have access to Les Arcs, Pila, St Foy, La Rossiere, Tignes, Val D'Isere all within 40 min drive, all with enough signposted routes, from easy to double black, to keep you going!! I've done Les Arcs, and this year it's Tignes/Val.
