alot of places selling 3x10 xt groupset cheap now , is it wise to buy ? my current bike runs this and I quite like it and find use for all 3 chainrings up front . Just wondering if you will be able to buy replacement rings in the future ?

3x10 will be around for ages. I wouldn't panic.
Buy it now while it's cheap as it'll go back up again once the powers that be decide it's ace again.
I see the Sram 1x11 stuff, wince when I see the price, read the threads with people drooling over it then laugh as I remember how upset people get with the whole 650b debate yet are quite happy to go along with less gears for more money that are not interchangeable with any stuff they've already got.
Buy cheap, don't panic about the future. By the time your spanky new XT wears out you'll be looking to get a new bike anyway. Don't know about anybody else, but my 3 year old SLX stuff is shagged out according to all the rules, but still functions perfectly. It's all kind of worn in together.
