Hi,
Been given a very nice Canyon frame by my brother, reason it was gifted was the carbon bottom bracket shell has been worn meaning it doesnt hold the push fit bottom bracket anymore, simply falls out, especially on the drive side.
Have bought a Hope PF41 bottom bracket, where the opposite sides of the BB screw into each other, so it'll hold tight into the frame, but theres still going to be a gap around the cups , mainly on the drive side, that I'm sure will be moving about with use.
So I want to Epoxy it in as I reckon the gap is too big for the normal loctite retainer compound.
From a bit of research, it appears the best epoxy to use it the 3m DP420, that has good compression strength but low shear strength, so it'll fill the gap but if I need too I can remove the cups I should be able to without destroying the frame.
But can't see to find 3m DP420 expoxy here. Does anyone know where I can find some or is there an alternative in the UK?
Thanks,
