Don't own decent shorts yet but have some really good gore 3/4 knicks.
when it gets really cold do i put my thermal padless tights over the knicks or leg warmers under?
Bit of a novice question sorry but i am a newby roadie and it ain't the same as dressing for an mtb jaunt - not for me anyway!

Either.
Thermal tights over the top will be warmer (this would be my choice from now through til early spring).
You get colder on a roadie than you do on a MTB in my experience, moving faster through the cold air for longer I guess.

Why not just buy some shorts and wear them under your longs?
