On One do their stainless steel ring in 33t. Got one and it's indestructible!

You could always buy a 34t ring and file off one of the teeth.

Yup, the lack of odd number chainrings anymore makes finding SS ratios more difficult too. Not so much that 32-33t makes any noticeable difference to pedaling but it can make life easier finding the right chain tension without having to be at one extreme or the other of the adjusters.

But I guess 99% of the demand is for NW and even numbers. I think Surly still make a stainless one?

This company list them;

https://www.projection-components.co.uk/104-bcd-stainless-singlespeedfixie-chainrings-332-1028-p.asp

I got the link off a previous thread on here, bookmarked it, but I haven't bought from them, so can't comment on quality /performance

Good find, and they do a 37t.

37/19 is a nice SS ratio.

(Important to those of us who like to have prime numbers front and rear)

This does make me think that my oval 33t ring will be hard to replace!

It's a "one key". BETD?

I know it's not round but on a quick look it does say here:
https://www.xcracer.com/shop/viewproduct.php?productid=325

"Let us know if you want a 33t"

If a buying volume of 2 got them to make some I'd have one too.

Could not agree more - reason I asked for the 33t is because I've run nothing but 39/19 on my SS 26" hardtail = 53.4 gear inches for 15 years now and it is the perfect gear for me and so smooth with tons of chain wrap. It's my main bike and always has been - you get *very* comfortable in one gear after so much time! Not had any geared bikes in the stable since 2001 (bar a 2 speed Brompton) but contemplating a FS geared new build with 27.5 rear so only way to replicate the gear with the cassette I want and a 17t within is the 33/17 x 27.5 = 53.4.

Projection Components are very good. I have a 33t 104, a 46t 110 and a 39t 130bcd chainrings. All made to request and all top drawer. Drop Michaela an email there and she will sort you out.

Run a bigger rear tyre and a 32t ring?

With bigger wheels and suspension it’s going to feel so different that I doubt you notice your “ideal” gear is missing. Bear in mind the chainring size affects the anti-squat and you may prefer pushing a smaller gear than on your singlespeed hardtail because you’ll generate less pedal bob - I do more seated pedalling on my full-sus than my hardtail and use the gears differently because of that.

And finally, narrow-wide rings work to keep your chain on but obviously don’t come in odd numbers!

Did not mention it was an EMTB either... 🙂

F*** me though - talk about polar opposites- when you’ve spent the last 18 years on SS hardtails, a really *hard* (Chameleon) tail with 2.3” tyres and you think I’ll just try this Levo with the motor off and 50% of your energy gets sucked into the suspension and another 25% goes into overcoming the colossal weight and drag whereas previously a slight push on the pedals propels you forward with 99% energy efficiency you start to think - hmmmm, maybe I’m getting old but let’s just delay the FS and EMTB a few more years yet...

We've got Middleburn 104bcd in 32t normal as well as TT ones. Think we might have some Goldtec ones in tock too.
