a mate wants (me) to 1x10 his current XT double chainset, with a 30t NW ring.

now I know the double has longer tabs than the triple, and these can snag the chain but has anyone tried spacing the ring inboard to avoid this?

I've got all the bits so I can test it tomorrow but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has done it...

Blackspire snaggletooth has a built in spacer so it doesn't foul.

I've got a SS 30t so we'll see if that has enough clearance...

I can confirm that parkesie is indeed correct, the SS one works a treat, although I moved the BB spacer from the DS to the NDS to get a better chainline (inboard).
