Will this replace the spider mounted sram ring? My new bike is being shipped with a 34t which is too big.
Does the bb type make a difference?
Fits SRAM GXP cranks with the removable spider. Replaces your existing chainring and spider which is attached via 3 bolts on the back of the spider. Remove spider and simply use these same 3 bolts to re-attach the Race Face DM ring
says it all 🙂
So it'll work with gxp , does that mean it won't with BB30?
GXP is the crank type/axle description. So long as the XO1 has the spiderless chainrings

Yes you need a specific bb30 ring
Absolute Black/Wolftooth do them
Thanks. Next question... The Absolute Black site says it is XX1 compatible, will it matter that I have X01?
er typo?
No the spline interface for mounting rings/spiders is the same on xx1 and x01 cranks
Thanks guys.
I'll order an Absolute Black one. Presumably sram do make direct mount 30t rings for X01 though.....?
Be aware that the direct mount rings for GXP & BB30 have different offsets as the axles are different lengths.
From the AbsoluteBlack website...
These direct mount chainrings are designed for Sram BB30/PF30 SHORT spindle cranks. Chainring is flat, as opposed to our GXP model with 6mm offset. Short spindle cranks do have 9mm BB spacer on drive side, where long spindle version has 15mm. If you have long spindle version, then buy our GXP model.
