Got a big pinch flat today after hitting a pot hole at speed. Im trying to find a new tube online but struggling to find a lightweight tube with long valve for a 30mm tyre.
Any recommendations would be gratefully received.
Tubes are normally marked as being for a range of sizes.
Either use one labelled as being for 23-28C or 25-32C.
I'm sure I've seen/used both, doubt you'll find a 30C specific one going a couple of mm over and using one marked for up to 28c should be fine but if you want to err on the cautious side 25-32C should work.
Maxxis Welterweight are good for 30s, and come in a long valve AFAIK.
However, as above, almost any 700x25-35 or so on tube will be fine.
Continental tubes work for me. Or Schwalbe.
Thanks for the replies, yes I know tubes cover a range of sizes, I asked about 30mm as that's what size tyre I have.
Anyway, still cannot find anything in a suitable size with long valve that isn't a thick heavy touring tube.
Maxxis is perfect, but try finding it in stock anywhere in the UK.
Just had six delivered from my LBS, as it happens!
Stonehenge Cycles, Salisbury. Their doors are closed for the moment, but I'd imagine they'd take some money from you if you ask nicely! 01722 334 915.
They're good people running a good shop.
Madison have Conti and Maxxis 25-32 tubes in stock, 60mm valves
Found the maxis on Winstanleys. Thanks for the replies.
How many folk repair inner tubes these days?
just pick a bigger size and inflate less FFS. For example always buy a 29er tube for any mtb tyre . A mate put a 27 1/2" tube in my 29 er and it wouldn't inflate. Stands to reason really.

Dunno, but I patched one last week.

These are nice, ordered 1, cut it in half, pulled it into a cross tubular to replace a punctured and full of sealant tube. Then glued it back together. Fiddly.
