[Closed] 308% gear range on Alfine, whats that on a cassette?

If I was to replace my Alfine 8 with a standard derailleur / cassette what cassette do I want to keep the same gear range? Cant work it out from Sheldon.

Where the big one has 3.08 times as many teeth as the smallest. 11-34 = 3.09.

Probably have to change the chainring too if you want the same gear inch at the top and bottom of the ratio too.

Ah, so an MTB cassette is what I want then. (Its for my commuter).

Yeah, although as convert says, that's just getting you the same spread of gears. You'll probably need to change the chainring to get the same gears.
