I am interested in doing this Event/race this year and am wanting to know when entries are available?
Also keen to here from anyone who has done the Event and what they thought and any tips they may have?
It tells you when entries open on the 3 Peaks site. 1st June from memory. Done it several times. What do I think? I think it's a fantastic race. Do it.

Best race I've done in a long while. Entry is a lottery so no guarantee of a place.
I was complacent- the weather was bad. Managed a mediocre 4h40 so will need some better prep in 2013, mainly involving running up hills with the bike.
Bones - 2012 was the worst conditions ever in it's history to race and this should give you a idea of what to expect 😯
Entering early isn't guaranteed an acceptance, it's not 1st come 1st served. It's so popular that entry is restricted.
I had heard however that it might not run this year.
Er, I think that's been resolved now. John Rawnsley (God bless him) has retired but I understand that someone has taken it on.
I've always found that a tenner donation to the local MRT oils the entry wheels. Well worth it, even if you still don't get in - they do a sterling job.
Word to the wise - look on 3 peaks forum. If you help out at the Bradford RC cx race then you get a guaranteed entry.
One of the very few races I return to.
Always a challenge even if the weather plays nice.
