Looking to go from 2x10 to 1x10.
Is it literally a case of buying a N/W ring (making sure it fits my cranks) and swapping my front double for this?
Or am I missing some other step/ things required?
You might need to shift spacers around to get a good chainline but yup. Thats it.

Possibly, but not necessarily. Depends how long your existing ones are, what c/r you get, etc.
