currently using a triple front shifter and triple front mech with a double chinset (sram chainset x7) shimano shifter and mechs. Have had it work before on a differnt bike but can't get set up right at present. anytips or am i better off buying a 2x10 front mech, if so will this work with the 3x shifter?

doubles deffo work with triple shifters just adjust the screws appropriately for the range

My double uses a triple shifter and always has
It has used various front mechs in this set up
It is 9 though but I cannot see how that matters
