Comparing the superstar wheelsets to the On-One wheelsets. Very similar priced, On-Ones look to be a fair bit lighter. Anyone got any experience / opinions where I should put my money?

[Not interested by anyone slagging SS of BTW, i know the history and they always sorted me out ok so i have no axe to grind]

I got a great set of Hope Pro 2 EVO hubs on ZTR Arch rims for sub 300 quid from Just Riding Along. Great build quality and service from friendly folks. Well worth a look.

Just riding along also- pro 2 on flows, great kit and build.
Had a set from freeborn and build quality was poor. Spokes kept goming undone out of the box.

Ebay have sets, the new arch rim on evos for £300 with free postage or if you can get away with the weight restiction on crests, go Hoops.

Whatever happened to the lightweight Hope/Stans wheel sets that were reported last year? I've not seen them on sale anywhere online, at least.

thanks everyone, but the question's about £170 wheelsets, should have made that clear. if I had the other £130 to spend then it would be easy, I'd have Hope / Stans.

Geared btw.

[self edit] just went onto SS website to provide a link and found some ss hubs on Stans rims which sounds like a decent compromise. Sorted

Ive been on the On Ones 29er wheels for a year now and cant fault them. Still on the original bearings with no play to speak of yet. Very happy with them for the money

The ss hubs and stans rims does like a good deal,

I'd go for that, if your happy with SS (ihaven't had any problems with any of their stuff) then keep at it.

That SS deal does sound good.

Anyone got any experience of the new Halo 29er XC trail or fulcrum Red power wheelsets?
