Hi All

I am currently running XT disc hubs with black anodised Mavic CXP33 rims on my CX bike and am looking to upgrade

Anybody using 29er wheels on their CX bike?

If so what type and size of rims?

Tubeless or not?

Carbon?

Any recommendations would be appreciated

Thanks and happy new year

Ken

I do.
Nothing fancy though.
XT hubs on Mavic 29er rims. Disc'y for me being of that persuasion.
More XC than pimpy.

Hi Tim

Yes I too am of the discy persuasion but fancy pimpy rather XC

Just bought a Pickenflick so I'll need to sell my Major Jake frame and Kinesis forks to fund new wheels

Rose fit The MTB Mavic Crossrides to their cross bikes. The wife has been happy with hers

It should be fine just check the rim width for the tyres.

Superstarcomponents have some good deals on wheels. Saw CX mentioned.

Hope pro 2 with crest rims. Iron cross rims also an option if you want a wider choice of tyres. Tubeless.

Work a treat and I don't have to worry about riding 'heavily'

I'm running sun ringle 29er disc wheels, they run tubeless.

I can fit down to a 28 tyre before it's too poor a shape on the rim, but cx tyres and bigger slicks work perfectly.

Happily running bontrager race x lites on a major jake. About the similar weight to decent cross wheels. Happily take tubeless cross tyres.

Yep, hope evo2 with crest rims set up tubeless. Have the same on my HT so swap-able if required

Running Mavic Crossmax slr's with a single sprocket and spacer kit. Just had to run a little higher pressure than on my previous wheels due to the extra air chamber they gave, don't like pinch punctures.

Same as singletrack surfer - ProII/Crest. Run Panaracer Cinder CX 35mms on there (Boardman Team). Good in the slop, and bomb proof. When the tyres wear out, I'll get some tubeless replacements.
