Just got a new Giant Anthem X 29er and am doing my first two hour race at Thetford next weekend. Stock tyres fitted are Schwalbe Racing Ralph's........ As its likely to be muddy (?) should I have something else as an option?? Nobby Nics?

Any advice or feedback appreciated

can't go wrong with Ralph's ,if it's really muddy around there then I'd use rocket rons

You might get away with the Ralph on the back and something like a Rocket Ron on the front for a bit more grip. This is the combo I've used through the wet summer on my Anthem 29er.The Ralph has good grip even in slop (maybe cause its 29er?) Currently swapped to Maxxis Beaver (more grip as getting muddier!) on the back and that's been a good combo with the Ron.
Thanx,
Max

Anthem x 26er here.
I've got rocket Ron 2.1 on the front and racing Ralph 2.1 on the back. Unless its raining on the day you could stick with that combo for the whole race series without worry. Can't imagine a 29er needing different

2.4 Ralphs here, love them. When it gets really bad though the Nevegals go back on.
