Time for a possibly stupid one, but here goes anyway!

Looking to get a 29er through c2w (yes it will be used for work as well!)
However we are forced to go through Wheelies which makes trying first difficult unless able to find elsewhere first to try.

So I was having a look at the Orange Clockwork yesterday at Leisure Lakes but they only had a large/19 in store which felt fine on the little car park (not the greatest test I know).

Anyway as for sizing is there any nuances to sizing up for a 29 vs a 26?
I currently ride a 19 Genesis IO which is ever so slightly shorter in top tube length, and the most comfortable bike I've owned fit wise was my 19 Bfe which was slightly longer in the top tube.
Dont want to order an Xl/21 and find it too big and equally dont want the reverse of a too small L/19 because I've failed to take something into consideration.

I'm 6'2" with a 34" inside btw incase any Clockwork owners show up and can compare!

Cheers.

Frame size is frame size. They use the same imperial inch for both.

I know, but when your commuting to something for 18months as our cycle scheme lasts for I don't want to miss some silly little thing that the big wheels may change with regards to feel/ride whatever that means a bigger size may be beneficial, as I said anyway at the start, probably a silly q 😉

Nah - you might want to consider usage though. If you compare a playful 26er to a mile munching 29er then something a size up might be appropriate.

Stupid iPhone auto correct, that should have been 'committing'.

Mile munching and just general trail riding is the order of the day. No road gaps and awesomeness from me I'm afraid.
Peaks and Pennines and the odd trail centre.

It's become an itch now to try one out and the c2w seems a perfect time to do it.

Can't comment on the specifics but my last bike was an XL after years on L frames and I'd always go XL now, I'm 6'3"

Rode 18's for a while and the change to 19 made a world of differnce even though only an inch, suspect adding another 2 inches in the case of the clockworks next size may be too much.

Pretty set on going for the 19 tbh now.
