I've got a set of Planet X 29er wheels, I'd guess they're the bog standard ones that came with the bike - a scandal, which I bought second hand. Width is about 24/25mm - does anyone have a recommendation for rimstrips so I can convert them to tubeless?
Cheers,
Ian
I'd go with Stans yellow tape and valves. I've had great success with all kind of rims.
The only other thing I've tried is a cut down 24" tube stretched over the rim.
Gorilla tape. The 1" wide roll will probably be the right size or just get the 2" wide 32m roll and cut it to the correct width

Thanks - is no-one using the no-tubes strips or anything? I've always used either UST/stans rims before and am a little wary of going totally ghetto, but I guess it is worth a try!
I
just done a couple yesterday, and as nealy says, just used gorilla tape (1", 9m roll for £3.50). along with my 9p pop bottle, they went up a treat, and have stayed up overnight.
the GT seems easier to put on too, bit more 'pliable'. i struggle with yellow tape. but thats probably just me.....
EDIT: just read again, and mine are stans rims, yours arent. but id still be trying it anyway. if it doesnt work ive also done 'proper ghetto' before with the smaller inner tubes stretched over the rim, cut down the middle and trimmed later. they both work great.
