Is it just me or is there way more sale and clearance going on for 29er stuff than 650B?  (Tyres, Forks, wheels)

Even noticing whole bike sales 29ers seem discounted more than 650B?

(I'm probably a bit biassed as I'm looking towards the gnarlier end of stuff - be it tyres or forks)

I'm not trying to suggest 29 is dead btw.... it just seems over stocked?

Presumably there's more older stuff out there for 29er with it being the longer established standard?

There have been some fairly big shifts in 29er geo & handling over the last couple of years and they go back further than 650b.  Not particularly surprised there are more being offered at clearance price.

I used to ride 29ers, but I’m currently riding a 650b+ hardtail which is a slack trail/dh bike, and I’m using the 29er forks for a bit of extra slack - I feel like i’ll Go back to 29” at some point though - it’s just faster in my experience of being a hacker

I went the opposite way. Had three 29er bikes (one plus) and now have a Cotic Flare and can honestly say I’ve not noticed that much difference other than the Cotic being my first proper foray in to full suss. All bikes are great
