Am looking for a replacement pair of rims on Hope Pro2 hubs for my 29er Enduro.  I can't seem to find Easton Arcs in stock anywhere, so I assume that the default go to choice is still Stan's Flow?

Anything else worth considering?

Not a fan of arcs myself in my experience the dent very easily (I don't run low pressures) The trouble I've found is it doesn't just bend the lip of the rim it bends the whole rim inward toward the hub sort of bulges in the process

I built up some Pro4s on DT EX511 in October and they've been spot on they were a pleasure to build as well.

They're not cheap and ideally you should factor in swapping out the supplied Squorox ali nipples for the Brass versions which is an additional cost as they are meant to use them.

mavic en627 are great, I've built some up on pro 4's on my big bike and they feel bulletproof. think they were less than £50 to.

These were rebranded to Race Face Arc's after the 2 companies merged/got bought. Should be easier to find the RF ones.

Yup, as above - Easton are now RF.

However, I certainly wouldn't get them if you ride somewhere rocky. Mine were great on rooty stuff, but every time I commit into something rocky, I add at least 1 new interesting shape to the rim.

Real shame as they're nice and light and look good. I guess the weight comes with an obvious cost. I think their replacements will be the standard choice of Flows or the heavy hitter ex511s..

XM421, XM481 if you arn't an animal

EX471, EX511 if you are a serial rim destroyer.

Finding stan's rims a bit on the soft side, will be going back to DT's as and when stans' sets die

I'm in a similar position, the standard Rovals are looking a bit ropey and I doubt they'll last long with the way I treat them.

The EX1501 look nice, but a bit more than I'd rather spend - although don't want to spend twice...

Anyone got views on WTB i29 rims?

+1 for EX Series DT rims. Wouldn't give anything else a look in personally.

Thanks all.  I'll stay away from Easton/RF in that case and will research the DT options.

Firstly, as the US journos like to say - Full Disclosure - WTB are a long time sponsor and supplier of Cotic. That said, the KOM i29 rims are bloody brilliant. I got some swapped onto my Industry9 29er wheels when the original Industry9 rims died. Light, tubeless easily, good shape. I might also mention that despite having quite a tough life and being a bit dented they are still true and holding air tubeless.

If you want something super strong from WTB then look at the Frequency Team i29.

Dt ex 1501 here. Very happy with them after 6 months of battering!

@Cy - Many thanks for this!

Have googled the I-29KOM but I can't find them on sale anywhere.  Bikediscount.de has them though.

Pacenti DL31 are very good. The one i've used and abused on a back wheel for a couple of years now is still going strong.

But also, as Cy says above, the WTB rims are great too. I've got some i25 that have taken a proper battering.
