Maybe a silly question but something Ive not considered until now (but I know someone else will have)
Always had 175mm cranks on my 26ers and have transferred drive train across to my new 29er, any merit in changing the crank length? Probably a horses for courses preference things but would be interested in others opinions

Not that I can see. Bottom bracket height is the same, your leg length hasn't changed so I would not bother.
