I think Northwind started a thread last year on this but I cant find it. Anyhow, looking for a nice combo for the above, not necessarily full on DH but maybe double down type... Cant' seem to find many online, what are people using?

It's for finale in may, then Enduro races. Also looking for same combo but for trail riding ....

I have a Nobby Nic 2.6in front waiting to go on when the slop subsides. Was recommended it by a pal who rides pretty fast & rocky stuff. In the apex snakeskin casing that might do for the front in Finale.

Aggressor Wide Trail Double Down 2.5in for the rear maybe?

McConvey Cycles have the Hillbilly and Butcher. And the Nic's out as above. Other'n that it's slow going for european releases. I want to try them but not at £50 a pop...

Anyone seen 29x 2.4 HR2 anywhere?

2.3 DHF is ok but not as good in the mud

2.3 Butcher Gripton front and normal rear. The 2.6 X 29 is out now but going to stick with what we know. Been trying some 2.4 Onzas but they aren't in the same league as the Butchers. Heard some good reviews on the latest Vittoria's

I found them a bit chewy personally.

Annoyingly Onza don't do 29x 2.4 ibex in the gripper compounds.

The 55s/65a is still a great tyre but the 55/45 are excellent

Very annoying. They aren't a cheap tyre, and the grip or or lack of it doesn't inspire confidence. We have stuck them on the pub bike just to try and get our monies worth
