Decided I need to resurrect my hardtail, but it won't take a QR lever and I'm too keen on my dropper seatpost. Are there any available in 29.4 diameter? Would need to be externally routed.
I know there are plenty 27.2mm options, but I'm not keen on that as I'd need a lot of post showing and would prefer the tighter tolerance of the right diameter instead of a shim in between (shim would need to be very long as the seat clamp is separate from seat tube).

Don't think so. I had a look around when I bought my Surly Instigator (v 1.0) which has a 29.4 ST.
I've ended up using a 27.2 post with one of the USE shims. They're longer than most, and seem to have good tolerances.
