1/. seeing the pricing on the on one site makes me feel like giving it a go - but at 5ft 4" with a 29" inside leg am i going to rip my vitals off?

2/. explain the history to me - so why did we end up with 26" wheels as the standard?

1, prob not a good idea unless you wanna look like your riding your dads bike

2, think that was the only available " fat" tyres that were around at the time

ignore the above statement, what rubbish. try it, if you like it then stick at it. ive seen people around 5ft on 29ers, one of the best US female racers is 5ft4 and wins races on her 29er......... if you get one that is built for your size it should be fine, and keep your vitals intact........
