Looking to upgrade the 29" Sun Ringle AM wheels on my Cube Super Stereo 140.
I'm after quality and reliability, as the sun ringle's have already been replaced once under warranty.
I'm a good 18+ stone and ride the Pennine Moors (trials and quarry's) mainly.
Not well versed on the correct MTB tech, they are 15mmQR on the front into Fox 34 forks and x12 on the rear.
I just enjoy riding and beasting a few routes around Rochdale and Oldham.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Stans Flow Ex rims on Hope Pro2 hubs.
You can get the adapters for 15mm front, think Flows come with 20mm?
And 12mm for the rear.
You can buy them ready built up from loads of places, no offence if I was your weight I'd just get my LBS to check spoke tensions before "beasting" them.
I got Hope hubs on Mavic EN821 from Moonglu for what you describe. Mavic are meant to be a bit more robust than Flow rims. So far so good.
Have Hope evo on flows but better are industry nine hubs with archs that I got recently but I am 4 stone lighter so industry nine and flows would be an idel combination.
got the wtb kom rims, nice price, nice weight, nice width. on xt hubs.
I got the Flow Ex rims on Hope Pro 2 Evo SP hubs for my Stereo 140. They look great and feel a lot more solid than the DT Swiss that came with the bike.
